Our 200th Truck Enters Service

This week our Transport & Logistics department achieved yet another milestone when they took delivery of our 200th truck, which was part of a 40-vehicle order from Volvo. 

The new truck, which made its maiden delivery earlier this week, will be based at our transport depot in Whitesmith and driven by Chris French, who has been part of the Day Aggregates family since we acquired CJ Burgess in 2005.

The rapidly growing fleet operates out of 21 locations across the South of England, spanning from Bristol down to Kent. It makes over 1,000 deliveries daily, accounting for 60% of the total number of deliveries made by the Company each day. Each truck complies with Euro 6 emission standards and includes many additional safety features and driver aids that help to protect vulnerable road users. We are proud to be a Gold Member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and have gained our ISO 39001:2012 accreditation, which we achieved earlier this year.
