Fibremix™ Installed at Felbridge Showground

Work to refurbish the warm-up arena at Felbridge Showground is now complete. Shaun Marsh, the event centre’s proprietor, is thrilled with the new surface, saying:-

“The recently installed Fibremix™ surface has quickly bedded in and stabilised. It has good moisture retention and provides more ‘give’ and ‘spring’ than our previous surface. The Fibremix™ has also handled the heavy use it has received extremely well.”

We started this project by removing the old sand and fibre surface and the underlying stone base, which had become contaminated with the old footing. Once removed, we installed a 150mm layer of clean stone for the foundation layer, which was blinded and levelled, ready for the new surface.

The surface chosen for the outdoor warm-up arena was Fibremix™, a premixed blend of equestrian-grade silica sand and our exclusive Daytec® stabilising fibres. Fibremix™ is a multipurpose footing, making it an ideal choice for Felbridge’s warm-up arena, which is used for several disciplines, including dressage and showjumping.
